Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account or using MyGarageStory ("the Service") you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms") and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

MyGarageStory is a personal vehicle-management web app at https://mygaragestoryapp.com. It lets you:

• Keep a record of every car, motorcycle, truck or work machine you have ever owned.
• Track costs, set service / registration / insurance reminders.
• Compare cars on your watchlist and run inspections before buying.
• Generate printable mementos (Passport, Hero Poster, Calendar, Timeline) as images and PDFs.
• Optionally publish those mementos via a public share link that you control.
• Sign in with email + password or with Google.

The Service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, and is currently intended for personal, non-commercial use. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher. By creating an account you confirm you meet that requirement.

4. Accounts

• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, and for keeping your password secret. Notify [email protected] immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
• We may suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe is being used to violate these Terms or to harm others.
• You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the data and files you put into the Service (vehicle data, photos, documents, exports, notes, share descriptions).

By using the Service you grant MyGarageStory a limited, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process and display your content solely to provide the Service to you. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content already incorporated into backups (see Privacy Policy § 8).

6. Public share links

You can make a Passport / Poster / Calendar / Timeline export publicly viewable by enabling sharing. The link uses a long random token; anyone with the link can see the image. You can disable the link at any time. Do not include in shared content anything you wouldn't want public. MyGarageStory is not responsible for re-sharing performed by viewers of your public link.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Upload content that infringes another person's rights, contains malware, violates someone's privacy, or breaches export-control rules.
• Probe, scan, reverse-engineer, or attempt to bypass the security or rate-limits of the Service.
• Use automated tools to extract data at a rate that would burden the Service.
• Resell, sublicense or re-host the Service.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that we believe in good faith violate this section.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on Google (Sign-in with Google), Pixabay (server-side image search for the watchlist), a secure cloud-infrastructure provider (hosting) and a transactional email provider (outgoing email). Their respective terms govern those services.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyGarageStory disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and any warranty arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that automatically generated estimates (depreciation, projected costs, health scores, watchlist valuations) are accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyGarageStory and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) EUR 100 (or its equivalent).

These limitations do not apply where they are unlawful in your jurisdiction — in particular, nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyGarageStory from any claims or demands brought by a third party arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms, fail to act on a security notice we send you, or use the Service in a way that harms other users or the infrastructure. On termination, sections 5 (Your content), 9–11 (Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnity) and 13–15 (Governing law etc.) survive.

13. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at MyGarageStory's primary place of business. Disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at that location, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-law rights you may have in your country of residence.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms when the Service changes or when the law changes. The version number and effective date will move forward; material changes will be communicated in-app.
